Kgosi Abel Mokgweetsi Kgaboyarona assumed traditional leadership in 1986, bringing with him valuable experience gained during his service with the Botswana Police. He succeeded his late father, Kgosi Kgaboyarona Lerumo, continuing a legacy of dedicated stewardship. Under his authority, eleven herdsmen oversee the village's twelve wards, ensuring effective local governance and community cohesion. In his official capacity, Kgosi Kgaboyarona presides over customary courts, administering justice and upholding the rule of law at the community level. He is responsible for maintaining peace and order, as well as mediating and resolving disputes among residents. As a civil servant, he serves as the principal liaison between the village and the central government—convening public meetings to communicate national policies and collaborating closely with Village Development Committees to advance local development initiatives.
